BETC announces the promotion of Antoinette Beatson as Vice-President

A British citizen, Antoinette Beatson lived in Italy and studied graphic arts in Milan before starting her career in advertising in France. She was hired by Remi Babinet at the inception of BETC as an art director. She then left the advertising industry to become a screenwriter and a film director. For more than ten years she directed short films and documentaries.

After this enriching experience, she came back to advertising. She made her return to BETC in 2007 as a copywriter working on international accounts. She was quickly promoted to the position of Creative Director and later Executive Creative Director.

At BETC, Antoinette leads a team of international creative talents that handle global accounts such as Disneyland Paris, La Roche-Posay, Mondelez, Danone Waters, or ba&sh. She is also highly committed to the cause of gender equality and supervised multiple campaigns for the French government by the agency on this topic.

Stephane Xiberras, President of BETC, says: "Antoinette has been able to showcase her talent to handle large accounts and develop members of her team. She has the ability to challenge clients to take risks and get out of their comfort zone, when it is justified. The film "The Duck" for Disneyland Paris is the perfect example of a brillant brand campaign, creatively and strategically."

Outside of her responsibilities within BETC, Antoinette Beatson sits on the European Creative Council of the Havas Creative network. She was also instrumental in the creation of the Women Creative Council that aims to identify more women creatives inside the Havas group and give them more career opportunities.

Antoine Beatson, Vice-President of BETC, comments: "I am delighted to be named at this position in an agency that always strived for creative excellence and to open the way for female creative talent that is under-represented in our industry."

The promotion of Antoinette reinforces the international dimension of BETC's leadership along with its global management perspective.

Bertille Toledano, President of BETC, adds: "Strategic, funny, deeply international, totally full service, Antoinette is among the great creative talents of this agency. She makes a regular contribution to its development and its global standing"
