How to make peace between Parisians and their taxis? By being smart, says G7.
Facing up to the challenges posed by the success of VTC and ride-sharing apps, G7 Taxis are getting smart. They've entrusted their image make-over to BETC Design, whose president Cristophe Pradère sums up the situation like this: "G7's new identity is a statement of their intention to become, like New York's yellow cabs, synonymous with Parisian taxis."
In practice, everything is simplified and refocused. The new round logo disposes of the notion of "taxis" and presents "G7" as a brand in its own right. As for the vehicles, a simple red line (green for G7 green vehicles) across the doors distinguishes the cars as part of an iconic fleet within the city.
That policy of accessibility reappears in the simple and welcoming pictograms of their new mobile app. Another branding element: uniforms. Just like private chauffeurs, G7 employees will all wear the same black uniform bearing the new logo. Just the ticket to make you feel special on every trip.
