For this Pride Month, we wanted to create our own BETC Pride Month, aka LGBETC, with a brand-new lineup of events inside the agency.
The goal? To continue raising awareness across all our teams about inclusivity and to address LGBTQIA+ issues in the workplace.
This BETC Pride Month is brought to life by the GREATA gang, our internal CSR community of transformers. Together, we rallied all departments to build a rich and diverse program.
- A conference and retrospective on the representation of the LGBTQIA+ community in advertising with Stéphane Xiberras
- A talk with artist Sam Quealy and Prose on Pixels about the LGBTQIA+ community’s role in the entertainment industry
- A workshop on raising awareness of LGBTQIA+ discrimination in the workplace
- A BETCINÉ screening of My Beautiful Laundrette
- An exhibition of over 20 years of pro bono work for AIDES and a charity sale, plus our drag bingo/blind test hosted by the fabulous Minima Gesté.
LGBETC is a continuation of our "diversity & inclusion" policy, which is built on five pillars:
- Gender equality
- Disability & health
- Multiculturalism
- Intergenerational inclusion
- LGBTQIA+ rights
It aims to establish processes and training that promote non-discrimination in recruitment and career development, as well as alert mechanisms for reporting inappropriate situations.
We wish you a happy Pride Month at BETC. Remember: the fight for equality happens every day, every month, all year long.
Be proud.
