I Feel Good," a 100% genAI music video produced for Agoria

Ivan Beczkowski

Born from the meeting of Ivan Beczkowski, co-president of BETC FULLSIX, and Sébastien Devaud, known as Agoria, the "I Feel Good" project explores the possibilities of collaborating with new generative AI technologies.

Ivan Beczkowski, who directed the visual work, explains:

"This project transcends the simple use of AI as a rudimentary tool for art, capable of automating tasks in place of humans. On the contrary, it embodies the symbiosis between human and algorithmic creativity."

The creative process took an original turn from the start, focusing on the interpretation of errors generated by AI image processing algorithms. Instead of dismissing them as flaws, Ivan viewed them as fundamental elements of the visual narrative. Imperfections, such as physical elements accidentally merging with characters, became the foundation for designing a universe where these visual "accidents" became distinctive traits of the beings inhabiting it.

One of the key narrative developments presents Ulysses in pursuit of Lyggie, a porcelain mermaid who dissolves into a mirage just as they meet. This artistic choice symbolizes the fleeting and unpredictable nature of AI-generated art.

In confronting the constraints of AI-induced video creation, Ivan Beczkowski's work required a creative blend of various image and video generation techniques. Thanks to ongoing technological advancements, the team was able to revisit the initial work and refine the quality of the visual elements.

"In AI projects, staying constantly up to date, even week by week, will be essential if we want to get the best out of the tools," says Ivan Beczkowski, co-president of BETC FULLSIX.

This project illustrates a new dimension of artistic creation, where human-machine collaboration reshapes how we perceive and integrate creativity in the age of advanced technologies. "I Feel Good" invites broader reflection on the role of creators in a world where the boundaries between technology and art are increasingly fluid.

An excerpt of the work was showcased at the HOFA Gallery in London during London Digital Art Week 2024, from April 11 to 30, as part of the exhibition NEW BEGINNINGS, bringing together pioneers of digital art.
